The long and winding road.

A Brief Introduction to the story of my Life

I retired in 2021, after a lifetime of hard work. The Covid-19 Pandemic was winding down. The Doctor who I had worked for, for 28 years, passed away in 2020. The world was upside down and backwards. The Politics and the economy were getting ready to take a nosedive. I did an analysis, in September of 2021, of where we were headed as a country, and my projections didn't look good. I began to work on my plan. Almost immediately, I ruled out retiring in America. Everything was unstable and the recovery looked way too far in the future. I looked over the other options and the most obvious was to sell everything and move to my wife's hometown, on the South coast of Peru. We already had friends there and they don't hate Americans so that would work for me. I casually mentioned it one night when we were eating dinner and was met with a lukewarm reception. In a week or so I mentioned it again and pointed to all the negatives if we stayed. We decided to call a Real Estate Broker and have our house appraised. Caroline, our Broker, came over to the house and looked around. She was interested in helping us sell our home and agreed to have the house appraised. After the appraisal, we had another meeting and went over the numbers. Once we saw the numbers we decided to sell the house and head South. We put the house on the market and it sold in a week. Just like that, we were homeless and headed South to Peru with 14 suitcases and a dog kennel for our dog, Aaron. Most of our friends in the States thought we were crazy to make such a drastic move. When we got to Peru, most of our friends here thought we were crazy also. Moving from a huge metropolis, with several million people, to a small, remote, town on the South coast of Peru. We watched, from Peru, as the economy took a dive and the Democrats opened the borders in an attempt to win a majority. They had already established a winning strategy of mail-in ballots, counted at the last minute, to win any election they set their sights on.
Biden and Obama had screwed the country up to the point that it would be a huge job to bring the United Staes back from the brink of disaster.
